Cofee & Cigarettes: Cousins?

Coffee and cigarettes (check for instance the imdb or wikipedia links) is a Jim Jarmush's film released on 2003 consisting in 11 short stories. The stories of all vignettes have two things in common: coffee and cigarettes, but the underlying plot of the stories are very different. The structure of the film has several contact points with a previous film Smoke (by Wang et al. 1995), where the common thread of the stories is that they are related to a tobacco shop in Brooklyn.

For the next StarKino session, a single vignette of the 2003 Jarmush's film is proposed: "Cousins?". The story is roughly 15minutes long and is basically the dialogue between Alfred Molina (as himself, playing a non-successful actor) and Steve Coogan (as himself, playing a rather vain star). The non-present character of Spike Jonze (also as himself, playing as a director) represents a key point in the plot, but nothing else will be revealed at this stage.

If you are so impatient that you cannot wait until the next StarKino session, you can actually see part of the vignette in youtube.

Enjoy!!
