Krzysztof Kieslowski (Warsaw, 1941) is the director of this Short-Documentary about a night porter in the Soviet Poland. This is an exemplary work with a high political content. Kieslowski critics the Soviet regime throught the life and thoughts of an ideal Soviet citizen, a night porter.
This Short and the way Kieslowski critics his own government is very much likely to the way that Berlanga did in Plácido, a master piece that we will for sure have the opportunity to see in the future.
I strongly recommend you to review the "Night Porter's Point of View" comments about the film at imdb.
